Senior citizens (persons at least 62 years of age (as of 7/1/25) who own the home they live in) in Carson are eligible to receive discounted garbage rates. The 2025-26 sign-up period is now open. Visit the Senior Sign Up page for more information and forms.
The deadline to apply for the discount for the next property tax year is May 15, 2025 for renewals and May 31, 2025 for new applicants.
Valet/Walk-Out Service is available to assist residents by allowing your WR driver to move your carts from the back or side yard, empty the carts and return them to the original location. To be eligible for free Valet Service, a resident must have a DMV-issued disabled person placard/license plate and be the owner of the property where the service will be rendered. If the disabled person does not drive, a doctor’s note attesting to the person’s disability must be provided. Without these items, Valet Service is available for a fee billed directly to you monthly. To sign up for Valet Service, download the application or contact WR customer service for a copy of the application by mail, fax, or email.
