FOR CARSON RESIDENTS ONLY
Celebrate Earth Day (Apr. 22) until the end of the month by recycling your old electronics – computers, TVs, copiers, VCRs, cell phones, DVD and Blu-Ray players, and microwaves – and commit to caring for the environment on October 19, 2024.
You can also recycle your confidential documents safely and conveniently at this event. All paper will be shredded onsite. Shredding may end before 12:00 p.m. if paper capacity is reached early. Only paper is accepted for shredding (paper clips and staples are ok).
- Proof of Carson residency required
- NO commercial or business waste will be accepted
- Limit two (2) file/paper boxes per resident for shredding
- Limit four (4) items/systems per account for e-waste
That week (April 28 – May 2) is also Clean Environment Week where, on your regular service day, residential cart customers have the opportunity to set out up to three 30-gallon bags each of trash, recycling, and organics and one extra bulky/e-waste pickup (up to four items, for free). Set the bags out next to your carts on your regular service day (please mark what’s in the bags so they are properly handled). Bulky/e-waste pickups still need to be scheduled by phone no later than noon the day before your regular service day. This will not count towards your limit of once per quarter or number of units per year.
