Semi-Annual Cleanup Starts in Gardena on Feb. 14

2026 Holidays

New year, new calendar! WR will be closed six days in 2026: New Year’s Day is on Thursday, January 1, 2026, and we will be closed. All weekday collections will be delayed by one business day that week.  Saturday, January 3, will not be affected. Memorial Day is on Monday, May 25, and we will be closed. All weekday collections will be delayed by one business day that week.  Saturday, May 30, will not be affected. Independence Day is on Saturday, July 4, and we will be closed.  Labor Day is on Monday, September 7, and we will be closed.

2025-26 Holiday Tree Recycling Dates Set

We make it easy for all residents to recycle their tree.- Place your tree curbside the same day as your regular service. For multi-family with bin service, trees can be left in the enclosure area.- Remove all decorations (ornaments, tinsel, etc.) and metal or plastic plant stands (wooden tree stands may be left on the tree). Flocked trees are okay.- Do not place your tree in a bag.- Trees over six feet (6′) tall  (7′ for Gardena residents) must be cut in half. Trees will be picked up on the following days, on your regular service day, starting December 26, 2025

Carson Clean Environment Week – Fall 2025

FOR CARSON RESIDENTS ONLYFALL into good eco-habits by recycling your old electronics – computers, TVs, copiers, VCRs, cell phones, DVD and Blu-Ray players, and microwaves – and commit to caring for the environment on October 18, 2025. You can also recycle your confidential documents safely and conveniently at this event. All paper will be shredded onsite.
