Waste Resources to Start Additional Bulky Item Collection Event Program for Gardena Residents

Beginning in August 2022, Waste Resources (WR) will be offering Gardena residents another chance to dispose of unwanted bulky items free of charge.  WR will collect unwanted materials on one day over five Saturdays.  A resident’s day will correspond to their regular collection day: If your normal trash day is… Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Then your cleanup day is… Aug. 6 Aug. 13 Aug. 20 Aug. 27 Sep. 3 Gardena residents are still eligible to receive free bulky item pickups throughout the year, with a limit of three cubic yards per pickup per quarter.   Additional items or pickups are …

Lynwood Spring 2022 Community Cleanup

LYNWOOD residents – bring your over-sized and bulky waste for disposal – FREE of charge – on Saturday, May 21 from 8am-2pm at the corner of Bellinger and Butler.  A valid photo ID and current copy of WR trash bill are required to participate. Acceptable Items – furniture, appliances, yard waste, fluorescent light tubes and bulbs, televisions, computers, other electronics, wood waste, and single items that can be handled safely by two people. The next Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and E-Waste collection event is in SOUTH GATE on Saturday, Apr. 23 from 9am-3pm.  Here’s your chance to clear out any unwanted household chemicals, motor oil and filters, other automotive fluids, paint, cleaners, pesticides or herbicides, batteries, pool chemicals, electronics, mercury thermometers or thermostats, fluorescent light bulbs, used needles or sharps, and unwanted or expired medicines. Carson Clean Environment Week Spring 2022

FOR CARSON RESIDENTS ONLYCelebrate Earth Day by recycling your old electronics – computers, TVs, copiers, VCRs, cell phones, DVD and Blu-Ray players, and microwaves – and commit to caring for the environment. You can also recycle your confidential documents safely and conveniently at this event. All paper will be shredded onsite. Shredding may end before 12:00 p.m. if paper capacity is reached early. Proof of Carson residency required.NO commercial or business waste will be accepted.Limit three (3) file/paper boxes per resident for shredding.Limit five (5) items/systems per account for e-waste.

Carson Spring 2021 Clean Environment Week

Carson residents can take advantage of two opportunities to celebrate Earth Day (April 22). The first is a paper shredding and electronics recycling event on Saturday, April 17, 2021, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the City Hall parking lot (701 E. Carson Street).
