FOR GARDENA RESIDENTS ONLYRecycle your confidential documents safely and conveniently at Gardena’s upcoming paper shredding event.  This is your chance to shred: documents containing social security numbers credit card and bank information and statements cancelled or unused checks insurance and income tax records receipts When: Saturday, April 5, 2025; 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Where:  City Hall Complex; 1700 W. 162nd Street All paper will be shredded onsite. Beginning in February 2025, Waste Resources (WR) will be offering Gardena residents another chance to dispose of unwanted bulky items free of charge.   WR will collect unwanted materials on one day over five Saturdays at the curb.  If your regular service is in the alley, your bulky items need to be placed at the curb, not in the alley.  A resident’s day will correspond to their regular collection day: If your normal trash day is… Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Then your cleanup day is… Feb. 15 Feb. 22 Mar. 1 Mar. 8 Mar. 15 Gardena residents are still eligible
