Lynwood Adds Blue Cart Recycling Service

To meet the requirements of new California regulations (SB 1383), customers in Lynwood will start seeing improvements to recycling programs over the next year. The first, and most visible, improvement is the addition of carts for the separation of dry recyclables such as clean paper, bottles and cans, glass, and some metals.  Under SB 1383, customer participation in this program is MANDATORY.  Waste Resources, the City’s exclusive waste hauler, will start distributing these carts with blue lids on Monday, June 13, 2022, but services start July 1, 2022.  The carts will include a hanger that details what materials go in […]

Lynwood Spring 2022 Community Cleanup

LYNWOOD residents – bring your over-sized and bulky waste for disposal – FREE of charge – on Saturday, May 21 from 8am-2pm at the corner of Bellinger and Butler.  A valid photo ID and current copy of WR trash bill are required to participate. Acceptable Items – furniture, appliances, yard waste, fluorescent light tubes and bulbs, televisions, computers, other electronics, wood waste, and single items that can be handled safely by two people. Remember to Recycle your Tree This Year

    A separate WR truck will pick up your tree on the same day as your regular service. Your tree will be reused as compost or mulch. Help us close the recycling loop by participating in this service!   What You Need to Do:   Place your tree curbside the same day as your regular service.
