NATIONAL DRUG TAKE BACK DAY APRIL 30

With studies indicating a majority of abused prescription drugs come from family and friends, including from home medicine cabinets, clearing out unused medicine is essential. For 10 years, the DEA has worked with local, state, and federal agencies to collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. The next nationwide collection date is scheduled for April 30 from 10am-2pm. The public can drop off potentially dangerous prescription medications at collection sites which will adhere to local COVID-19 guidelines and regulations in order to maintain the safety of all participants and local law enforcement. Glendale Customers to Receive Carts for Recycling and Mixed Organics Collection in March 2022

The next phase of the franchised services rollout for Glendale continues in late March with the delivery of a recycling cart and/or mixed organics cart. Businesses and 5+ multi-family dwellings will receive one 96 gallon cart for dry recyclables such as bottles, cans, paper, and cardboard.  Need more detail on what goes in your blue container?  Up-to-date lists are always available on our SB1383 page. Remember to Recycle your Tree This Year

A separate WR truck will pick up your tree on the same day as your regular service. Your tree will be reused as compost or mulch. Help us close the recycling loop by participating in this service! What You Need to Do: Place your tree curbside the same day as your regular service. For multi-family with bin service, trees can be left in the enclosure area. Notice to Customers in Unincorporated LA County

After much consideration, Waste Resources has made the difficult decision to end all services in the Unincorporated Areas of LA County, effective December 31, 2021.  Customers affected by this decision have received notification by mail, email, or both.  We will continue to service these customers until their last day of service the last week of December.  Our containers will be removed at that time, or soon thereafter, so customers are encouraged to secure service from another hauler that begins before then. WR Announces New Fueling Station

MSRC Press Release –March 1, 2021 – Los Angeles, California– Waste Resources has completed the installation of a new compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station at its Los Angeles site.  This station services its fleet of clean-fuel waste collection trucks.  These trucks serve the communities of Carson, Gardena, Glendale, Hawaiian Gardens, Lynwood, Torrance, and areas of Unincorporated Los Angeles County.
