Workshop for Gardena Residents Added

Waste Resources, with the City of Gardena, will be hosting another workshop for residents to discuss the state’s new-ish recycling requirements.  Since Jan. 1, 2022, all residents, businesses, and multi-family properties are required to recycle organics and dry material.  WR’s three-container system makes compliance easy.  Learn how to take advantage of your containers and help the City comply with state mandates. Two Workshops on April 13 for Gardena Customers

Waste Resources, with the City of Gardena, will be hosting two workshops on April 13 to discuss the state’s new-ish recycling requirements.  Since Jan. 1, 2022, all residents, businesses, and multi-family properties are required to recycle organics and dry material.  WR’s three-container system makes compliance easy.  Learn how to make the most of your containers and help the City meet state recycling targets. Carson Clean Environment Week Spring 2023

Carson Senior Sign Ups – 2023-24 Edition

The enrollment period for Carson’s senior discount will start on April 17, 2023. Because trash is charged on the property tax bill, you must participate in this annual enrollment process in order to receive the discount. Renewals must be postmarked by May 15, 2023. New applications must be postmarked by May 31, 2023.  Any renewals/applications postmarked after these dates may not be accepted for the 2023-24 tax year. Lynwood Spring 2023 Community Cleanup

LYNWOOD residents – bring your over-sized and bulky waste for disposal – FREE of charge – on Saturday, April 22 from 8am-2pm at the corner of Bellinger and Butler.  A valid photo ID and current copy of WR trash bill are required to participate. Three Opportunities for Gardena’s Commercial Customers to Learn About Organics Recycling

Waste Resources, along with the Gardena Valley Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting three workshops for businesses and multi-family managers/owners to discuss the state’s new-ish recycling requirements.  Since Jan. 1, 2022, all residents, businesses, and multi-family properties are required to recycle organics and dry material.  WR’s three-container system makes compliance easy.  Plus, dry recycling service is available at no additional cost. Dates Set for First Bulky Item Collection Event of 2023 For Gardena Residents

2022-23 Holiday Tree Recycling Dates Set

We make it easy for all residents to recycle their tree.- Place your tree curbside the same day as your regular service. For multi-family with bin service, trees can be left in the enclosure area.- Remove all decorations (ornaments, tinsel, etc.) and metal or plastic plant stands (wooden tree stands may be left on the tree). Recycling And Mixed Organics Recycling Expands In Lynwood

Waste Resources continues to roll out programs to meet the requirements of new California regulations (SB 1383) with the addition of recycling and mixed organics recycling carts for all commercial customers in Lynwood.  Commercial customers include multi-family complexes (4+ units) and businesses with bin or regular roll-off service.  Under SB 1383, customer  participation in this program is MANDATORY.  Waste Resources, both City’s exclusive waste hauler, will start distributing carts with blue lids (for dry recyclables such as clean paper, bottles and cans, glass, and some metals) and carts with green lids (for mixed organics such as food scraps, food-soiled paper, and yard waste) on Monday, December 19,
